Professor Lau is the Dean of Medicine, Chair and Daniel CK Yu Professor in Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology, School of Clinical Medicine, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. He is the immediate past President of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (2016-2020); the immediate past Chairperson of the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong (2019-2022); and the immediate past Chief of Service of the Department of Medicine, Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong (2018-2022). Prof Lau’s research interests include autoimmune rheumatic diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus and spondylitis.
